Teaching in the Territory: Keep Blowing The Whistle & ‘Name & Shame’ because our kids deserve to be safe!

Happy New Year to our Northern Territory readers & many thousands readers all over Australia too!

Today we talk about whistle-blowers again.

First thanx for all the visits!

You can see how important this web site is for heaps of people all over Australia.

Vital to NT GOV & its assorted supporters in the NT & around the country is to depict whistle-blowers as destined to live miserable lives. Thats the key to their attempt to deter unwanted disclosure: the message that doing so will result in the full-scale destruction of your life.

Cardfightback says BULLSHIT to that!

Reality is only some of this has ever applied to people who speak up. Many famous whistle-blowers around the world speak at conferences & write articles for the media, & others are interviewed with their message of doing the right thing spreading online to millions. They have become an important voice in the global debate over right & wrong.

Think about Edward Snowden: he not only changed how the world thinks about a number of profoundly important political issues by defying its most powerful government, but then was able to build a happy, healthy & fulfilling life for himself. & if he can do that, so can other whistle-blowers, which is precisely why so much effort has been devoted to depicting him in all sorts of false lights & fake news about him.

Edward Snowden speak up

For 2019 Cardfightback wants to support & promote whistle-blowers & their important social function of whistle-blowing.

We already showed you recent disclosure about NT GOV/DoE stacking of jobs over Christmas – to get their mates in when no one is looking > https://cardfightback.wordpress.com/2018/12/03/teaching-in-the-territory-boundless-corruption-report-nt-gov-employees-management-to-icac/ – & now a fantastic Guardian article about recent whistle-blowers around the world

– PLEASE READ IT.

CFB’s favorite quote from Guardian Whistle-blower article below:

I considered it my duty as a public servant to report it”

Imagine how better NT Public Service would be if everybody did this!

The trick is to report things to as many EXTERNAL BODIES as possible, not NT DoE or GOV controlled ones. When they try to stop you or try make you go away….. keep complaining.

ICAC > https://icac.nt.gov.au/make-a-report

Go to: journos (see our page at top or here > https://cardfightback.wordpress.com/contact-journalists/ ), opposition pollies, make your own blogs (see our page at top), do comments everywhere, reply to NT GOV consultations, go to their meetings & get in their face, make Facebook pages, put stickers everywhere, report serious stuff to Police, get Police officers name & follow up, report to ICAC, complain & complain.

Be the same as my 4 yr-old because I give up after she wont stop!

Start a YouTube channel like Hannah Curran did & then complain again. Demand your voice is heard….Dont give up & take them to Court if you have to. Submit Freedom of Information requests here > https://cardfightback.wordpress.com/freedom-of-information-foi/ then take your documents to a lawyer (CFB recommends Ron Hope every time – links down right side of our blog or here> http://northernlegalservices.wordpress.com/ ). Just do more & more & more.

Remember this: Craig Allen’s job @ OCPE (& NT DoE’s job) is to discourage you from complaining. So he does less work while filling up his Super & bank account.

The OCPE on purpose makes the appeal process frustrating, time consuming & 99% supports NT GOV employers.

He’s fucking with your mind.

He do this to make sure you give up in your head before you start.

Its a deliberate strategy to stop you hold them well paid lazy bastards accountable.

If you think “But nothing will ever happen if I complain, theres no point” this means THEY WON ALREADY & YOU LOST before you start.

This is EXACTLY what they want – dont give it to them without a fight.

The AEUNT dont want you fight back either, they just want lazy & easy life: “Dont rock the boat”, “nothing will change so dont try”, “its too hard”, “we have to work with these people so we cant challenge them”, “but our friends Eva Lawless & Vicki Clueless & Selena ‘Gunner’s Puppet’ Uibo will be upset” etc etc.

Bloody bullshit all of it.

The Joker strikes again

Cardfightback Team thanx for all your support & emails.

We look forward to supporting your fights against NT un-Education Department bullying, incompetence, cover ups, gaslighting, lies, protection of pedo teachers, intimidation, harassment, secret surveillance cameras, nepotism, assaults by principals on Indigenous kids & teachers, & zero transparency throughout the NT GOV as a whole.

We remind readers of a great comment on this post:

Brendan says:

Powerful factions, as part of their intimidation tactics, deliberately try to breed a sense of collective and personal impotence: you’re too small and powerless, and they’re too fortified and entrenched, for you to meaningfully challenge them. But human beings, all of us, have the power to move the world even a little tiny bit at a time. And the more that happens, the more the world moves in the direction it’s pushed.

We’re trained to think only grandiose, revolutionary overhauls have meaning. But tiny, isolated actions also matter – convincing a single person to change how they think or behave, helping or saving a single life, being an anonymous, unrecognized part of any campaign or movement. It matters on its own because of its inherent worth, and because of its cumulative effect. But so often your actions can reverberate in ways you would never expect. Impotence and hopelessness are a tactic, a lie told by those who wield power, to foster resignation, passivity, and acceptance.

See you again in 2019!!!!!  xo

  1. Another hypocrite Catholic says:

The collision of male power and secrecy, and the way it manifests in the Catholic church, is why we see an out-of-touchness and also why we see this disaster that keeps of unfolding and their complete incapacity to address it.

    Same as NT DoE

    • Watching the Horror Show that is NT DoE says:

Cast of grotesques grind out another day in NT’s Truman Show.

Think of NT DoE as a replicant variant of The Truman Show. A reality show in which the entire cast of grotesques and inadequates believe they are genuinely in power, while the audience of millions enjoys the comedy, the self-inflicted crises and the series-ending cliffhangers. In schools and universities around the world, the programme is hailed as an object lesson in how not to run schools.

  2. The illusion of fear says:

    • Newt says:

      Newt Gingrich’s 1996 GOPAC memo

As you know, one of the key points in the GOPAC tapes is that “language matters.” In the video “We are a Majority,” Language is listed as a key mechanism of control used by a majority party, along with Agenda, Rules, Attitude and Learning. As the tapes have been used in training sessions across the country and mailed to candidates we have heard a plaintive plea: “I wish I could speak like Newt.”

That takes years of practice. But, we believe that you could have a significant impact on your campaign and the way you communicate if we help a little. That is why we have created this list of words and phrases.

This list is prepared so that you might have a directory of words to use in writing literature and mail, in preparing speeches, and in producing electronic media. The words and phrases are powerful. Read them. Memorize as many as possible. And remember that like any tool, these words will not help if they are not used.

While the list could be the size of the latest “College Edition” dictionary, we have attempted to keep it small enough to be readily useful yet large enough to be broadly functional. The list is divided into two sections: Optimistic Positive Governing words and phrases to help describe your vision for the future of your community (your message) and Contrasting words to help you clearly define the policies and record of your opponent and the Democratic party.

Please let us know if you have any other suggestions or additions. We would also like to know how you use the list. Call us at GOPAC or write with your suggestions and comments. We may include them in the next tape mailing so that others can benefit from your knowledge and experience.

      Optimistic Positive Governing Words
Use the list below to help define your campaign and your vision of public service. These words can help give extra power to your message. In addition, these words help develop the positive side of the contrast you should create with your opponent, giving your community something to vote for!

  3. CFB - PLEASE ... A REFRESH KEY FOR 2019? says:

As Hannah has pointed it’s almost seven years since CFB set out to accomplish engagement amongst like mindedness.
An amazing Blog site where those passionate about Education in the NT have a space to call out:
    1. Injustice at every level within DOE.
    2. Present knowledge, feelings and a sense of camaraderie.
    3. Learn how, who and where to deal with the excoriating reality of corruption as it applies to standing up against the Powerful/Brokers of NT Ed/+Gov Departments.
e.g. : support of Whistle Blowers … to believe in ones self … follow through … as long as it takes … being vindicated.

My faith in this communal site while extremely hopeful for positive outcomes in the profession of teaching is also guarded knowing full well how speaking out impacts one’s life in areas such as health in body, mind and soul not to mention the prospects or lack thereof employment (having to pay the mortgage as a sole parent).

My purpose in stating all of the above is to pose the question:
How, if, and/or when do we as a consolidated group truly affiliate in tangible support of one another unless this is already occurring?

Clearly NT AEU will NEVER provide the safety required for those of us who remain in the NT to teach where we have ongoing ties, currency of knowledge in the multicultural make up of our communities and are usually the best support neophyte teachers will ever have when incompetent protected Principals know these naive fledglings are merely grist for the mill.

Along with but not detached from the CFB Blog Site, do CFB Blog managers have any position or strategy to pursue other platforms of support where one can assist, encourage and harness all this energy???

Wow what a Birthday that would be for CFB Bloggers and those of us who contribute anonymously to CFB.

If there is anyone out there who knows how to set up an anonymous real time chat that would be ….. WOW!!!!

LET’S HIT THE REFRESH KEY FOR A BIGGER, BETTER AND HEALTHIER 2019 in solidarity at CFB.

    • Join The Fight! says:

“Along with but not detached from the CFB Blog Site, do CFB Blog managers have any position or strategy to pursue other platforms of support where one can assist, encourage and harness all this energy???”

      I believe that’s happening already.

“If there is anyone out there who knows how to set up an anonymous real time chat that would be ….. WOW!!!!”

Its easy. There are many, depends on your platform/OS and your technical capabilities.
Email CFB quoting this comment and your ISP (so they know its you), someone will help you no worries. They helped me set up some stuff too.

      • Thank you to ...Join The Fight! says:

Great to hear it’s so easy i.e “platform/OS and your technical capabilities” …. perhaps my idea is fanciful and not so easy re: anonymous chat time!!
Point being re your feedback… it’s not so much setting up e.g. other stuff, more so about extending solidarity into real time “chat” or whatever it’s called (I am not Tech savvy) amongst/via CFB Team’s blog site to ensure our community is accessible to those who are usually isolated, vulnerable and most likely being portrayed as “trouble makers” etc .

There are no doubt many CFB patrons whom for example don’t have tech skills you speak of but do have experience in standing up to the hierarchies without the misguided notion of AEU NT being of any use.

Tragically the NT Labor Gov have gone from CRISIS to CRITICAL point in no time whereby top political echelons of MLA’s are more captive to their HOMIES (Advisors and recycled top payed Public Servant friends) than to the needs of their electorates and now publicly EAT THEIR OWN …. so those out there attempting to JOIN THE FIGHT under this climate, especially newbies, are at greater peril than ever before.

CFB … I have emailed in the past … it’s all good … and only so much that can be achieved.

Standing steadfast, keeping the fire burning strong and knowing we all pursue what is still to come…. Little bit… Little bit … Longer, longer …

      • Thank you to ...Join The Fight! says:

BTW … I will give it a shot re: quote this email… cheers

  4. Good Onya CFB! says:

“It’s my view that everything that the government does, they do so for public purpose and funded by the public service. And therefore everything that is produced by government belongs to the public.”

Sounds like a Mission Statement for CFB. Ha.

  5. Keep up the good fight! says:

I counted. it should be 7 years, CFB 7th birthday is on 31 Jan 2019. Happy birthday CFB in advance!

  6. Hannah Curran says:

Wow 6 years! I admire and congratulate you team on your determination, courage, strength, persistance in exposing the truth, holding NT government to account, and helping and giving support to us whistleblowers and everyone all over Australia and the world. I have no doubt your information has led to many media reports been done, reinvestigations, and helped many others in similar situations, also in putting pressure on government departments and public servants, politicians, to not get away with misconduct, corruption, abuse, which media is being restricted in reporting. Thank you for your unwavering support. When I have crumbled many times I see your constant bravery and qualities, which help me pick up the pieces and continue again. Much love Hannah
